Tamisha has over 20 years of service in the ROCKS, Inc. spanning across seven chapters. Her leadership experience includes VP of Morning Calm Chapter (2008-2009); Charter Member & VP of Marne Chapter (2012-2013); President of Buffalo Soldier Chapter (2013-2014); VP Administration of D.C. Chapter (2017-2018); and President of Alamo Chapter (2019-2021). Tamisha is a recipient of five ROCKS Chairman Awards, the Bobby Burke Award (2015) and the ROCK of the Year Award (2022). 

Goals

  • Formalize duties and responsibilities to ensure alignment with the Chairman’s priorities, strategic plan, and initiatives.

  • Identify, monitor, assess and formalize special projects in support of organizational priorities. 

  • Identify, engage, formalize, and support external partnerships and networks to align and enhance special projects, strategic programs, and strategic initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with national board members and local chapters to identify, refine, and formalize external partnership and network opportunities.

The ROCKS, Inc. is a tax-exempt non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) comprised of ROTC and Military Academy Cadets, active duty, reserve component, commissioned officers and active duty or reserve component warrant officers and Department of Defense GS12 and above civilians. The organization was formed to provide mentorship, professional development and social interaction to strengthen the officer corps. In addition to the R.C. Cartwright Scholarship Fund, the "Leadership Outreach" program provides the opportunity for teams consisting of ROCK members to visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to provide professional career development guidance to ROTC students.
