Colonel Anita McMiller

Colonel Anita W. McMiller is a native of Chicago, Illinois Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science in History Education from Northern Illinois University, a Masters in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Masters of Military Arts and Science in History from the Command and General Staff College in Leavenworth, Kansas. She received a direct commission into the Army in June 1975 and her military education includes completion of Basic and Advanced courses of the Army Transportation School, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.
Colonel McMiller has served as Deputy Legislative Assistant to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Her recent key assignments include command of the 1329th Port Battalion in Felixtowe, England; Program Analyst, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; as Deputy Commander and Operations Officer, Military Traffic Management Command Bremerhaven Terminal Germany, the largest Department of Defense Ocean Terminal and a Training with Industry Tour with Sea-Land Corporation in Menlo Park, New Jersey. She has also served as a Plans Officer at Headquarters, Military Traffic Management Command, Falls Church, Virginia; as Company Commander, Headquarters Company, 205th Transportation Battalion, Hanau, Germany; as Chief, Hanau Community Morale Support Budget; as Administrative Officer, 38th Transportation Battalion, For Eustis, Virginia; and as a Platoon Leader, 155th Terminal Service Company, Fort Eustis Virginia.
Colonel McMiller has served as the ROCKS' Historian for the past four years and as Chairperson of the ROCKS "Promise" print committee for the past two years. She also served as Secretary of The ROCKS, Inc., under BG George Price's term as President. As Historian, she successfully documented and distributed the first history of The ROCKS, a project that encompassed countless hours of research and interviews. As Chairperson of the "Promise" print committee, she meticulously managed the sale of "Promise" prints, netting the organization $60,000, with projected future earnings of an additional $100,000. This project represents the largest and most successful fundraising initiative in the history of The ROCKS.
Her awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3d Oak Leaf Cluster) Joint Service Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon. Anita W. McMiller is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the East.
Her achievements and accomplishments are unmatched and will serve as the standard for excellence in service for years to come

Colonel Clarence Barrens
U.S. Army, Retired
Clarence G. Barrens was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on September 14, 1929. He graduated from Prairie view A&M University, Texas on May 26, 1951. Having completed the Advance course ROTC Program, he was concurrently commissioned a Second Lieutenant of infantry in the U.S. Army Reserve.
During the Korean conflict, colonel Barrens served with the 160TH Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry division, followed by a long tour in Struttgart, Germany. He served in the Military Assistance command, Vietnam during the Vietnam war. Other notable assignments include those of Associate Professor of Military Science at Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri; Chief, force Structure Branch, Office of the Assistant chief of Staff for Force development, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, D.C.; Commander 3rd Battalion, 3rd Basic Combat Training Brigade, Executive Officer and Commander, 2nd BCT Brigade, Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Member Suitability Evaluation Board, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Personnel, department of the Army, Washington, D.C.; Commander, 5th Advanced Individual Training Brigade, Fort Dix, New Jersey; Commander, New York Area command and Ft. Hamilton, and Commander, fort Leslie J. McNair, Washington, D.C.
Subsequent to earning his baccalaureate degree, colonel Barrens earned the master of Education Degree from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri. He is also a graduate of the Infantry Officers Basic and Advanced courses, Ft. Benning, Georgia, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.
