Brigadier General GEORGE B. PRICE

Brigadier General George B. Price was born on August 28, 1929 in Laurel, MS. In 1951, General Price Graduated from South Carolina State College with a Bachelor degree in physical Education and was commissioned an Infantry Second Lieutenant.
General Price’s military careers span 27 of dedicated service. He completed Army Command and General Staff College and earned a Master’s Degree from Shippensburg State College in 1971.
His military assignments included Company Command, Ft Benning, GA; Company L., 179th Infantry Regiment in Korea; assignment as Adjutant of the 3rd Battalion, 11th Infantry, at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in Pennsylvania; PA 15th Ordnance Battalion in Europe; 2nd Armored Division, Fort Hood, TX; Advisor, 1st Infantry Division, Vietnamese Army; Commander, 4th Battalion (Mechanized), 20th Infantry; 193rd Brigade, at Fort Clayton in the Canal Zone and subsequently was Deputy Chief of Staff, U.S. Southern Command at Fort Amador, Canal Zone. He has served as a staff officer, Office of the Chief, Reserve Component, Department of the Army, the Pentagon, and as a Force Analyst, Officer of the Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, Army. His overseas duty includes Commander, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, and concurrently Community Commander, Aschaffenburg. He served as Chief of Staff, 9th Infantry Division. After being promoted to Brigadier General, he was assigned as the Assistant Division Commander, 1st Armored Division, and concurrently Community Commander, Nurnberg Military Community. He assumed duties as Chief of Staff, First United States Army on August 3, 1976.
His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Purple Heart. He also has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge with star, and the Parachutist Badge and the Ranger Tab.
General Price has worked in the Telecommunications Industry, Technical Engineering Services, and Consulting Services. He is presently the Personal Manager of his sister the Opera Diva, Leontyne Price. He and his wife Georgiana reside in Columbia, Maryland.

Colonel HOMER PETITT, JR.

Colonel Homer Petitt, Jr. was born in Wharton, TX. He began his 28 years of honorable military service during World War II as an enlistee in the U.S. Navy.
Colonel Petitt graduated from Prairie View A&M University in May 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He later earned a Master of Science Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Southern California.
Originally commissioned an Infantry Second Lieutenant, he subsequently transferred to the Signal Corps where he served in a wide range of command and staff positions in the United States, Germany, Korea, Okinawa, Thailand, and the Republic of Vietnam. As a field grade officer, he managed the installation of a long-distance telephone switching system that serviced all U.S. military commands in Southeast Asia. He also commanded the 1st Signal Battalion, the Army’s largest signal battalion in Europe. Colonel Petitt culminated his military career in May 1977, as a staff officer in the Defense Communications Agency.
Colonel Petitt’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
After retirement, he founded his own company, Dynamic Technology Systems, Incorporated (DTS) in Alexandria, VA. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer. Actively involved in business, professional, and civic organizations, Colonel Petitt is a charter member of the ROCKS, and served as the ROCKS’ first membership chairman.
Colonel Petitt is married to the former Ada F. Garrett of Longview, TX. The couple has three grown children. They reside in Burke, VA.
